I dont really have a theme. Unless you want to say its "Romance and Roses" or something like that. I am using roses (silk), dark purple, lavendar, and cream. And I want a bunch of candles......thats about it!

Brandi that is so sweet!!! What do you need help with? Centerpieces...anything?

well as far as centerpieces go, I guess I just need to order some flowers and see what I want to do. I don't know if I just want to put them in the vase (I know I want the short square vases) with petals and candles around....or if I want to go with my MOH's suggestion of making a type of candle ring to go around the bottom of the square vase and then put water in the vase with a floating candle.....plus petals and candles around.....so those are my 2 ideas for right now. My biggest issue at the moment is finding a good place with high quality silk flowers that aren't too expensive, that will let me buy the roses in bulk....I need 450 roses to do everything! here is a apic of the colors I want and how I want my bouquet to look.....actually this may be the place I wind up getting my flowers from....but i want to order samples and see them in "real life" before i go dishing out $400+ dollars......

yeah and i have found a lot of good places/ideas....i actually posted in that also....the place i really want to get them from(perfectpetalsnc) will cost me about $700 and I only have about $450 to spend....so probably not going to happen.....but these look good too.....hopefully I will have some money soon and I can order the samples....so i will let you all know when i do that.....

Do you have craft stores near you? I know Michaels and Hobby Lobby have sales and coupons.. Perhaps just get a few roses and then filler flowers at a craft store to save money? That way you can know what you are getting, get the flower samples and match them to flowers that are in your local store...Shipping is usually what costs the most.

yeah we do have Michael's and Hobby Lobby and Garden Ridge here....but I haven't been impressed with the selection. I still have a few other places around here I need to go to....I think we actually have a wholesale supplier in the area, so maybe I can go get some good cheap stuff from there.

Hopefully, Silk flowers are hard to come by.. They either look very real, or look like crap. Around here we just have Joanne's, Michaels, and Walmart. All are pretty crappy. I think I need to rally to have a Hobby Lobby come!!!

i agree hobby lobby is the BEST!!

brandiwine79abbf
09-05-2006, 04:36 PM
ok so now I have to ask.....how big are your hobby lobby's? ours are pretty big, but they don't carry enough of anything!!! Do you have the store order what you want to buy and how many you want?? Cuz I know I can not even walk in there and buy enough of everything I need....would love to, but doubt it!!! LOL Even Garden Ridge which is even bigger, does not carry the amount of flowers that I want. That is why most of my stuff will bought online........

i have 4 i go to regularly and buy what i need. i would just ask them to order what you need. they might even give you the sale price on it but not sure.
