Ok So my fiance and I are trying to keep the cost of our wedding down as much as possible because were building a new house. So one Idea we have been tossing around is to buy these shirts we found online http://www.zazzle.com/collections/disneyinkshop/product.asp?product_id=235143735491863093
and wear them. Like I could get the speghetti tank and wear it with a nice long white skirt, and he could do the tee shirt with a nice pair of black or white shorts. As you know were doing the lady and the tramp theme so thats where this comes from. and then even have our wedding date on the back or something like that.
What do you guys think? Any other suggestions?

I think it is a nice idea. I like the idea of the wedding date on the back of the shirts. You will always have those shirts and can wear anyime if you wanted. You could proably find some Lady and the Tramp invitations. Have you tried looking at the Disney website to see if they have anything that you might like.

Yes its going to be very informal. It will be at our new home in the back yard. No bridal party other then my mom and dad.
Yep Ive found some lady and the tramp invitations that I think we will order or copy to make ourselves for half the price lol.
So you guys think that the shirts would be a good idea?

i like the shirts, but i have one question. . . are you planning on wearing it in place of wedding atire? i think it would be appropriate for the reception, but not so sure about the ceremony part. sorry maybe i am a little old fashion that way. sorry just my opinion, but not really sure it looks wedding like.

Well to answer your question calico the ceremony is going to be at the same place as the reception. Were just having a very small casual backyard wedding at our home.
Im stuck between doing this idea which would save A TON of money and be really cute, or doing the dress thing.

Could you get a nice dress to wear during the ceremony then change during the reception? Perhaps just get a white prom dress which is cheaper and more casual.. That way you can still feel weddingy and then change into something fun for the reception. Many dresses cost only $50-200 and then if you get the shirt.

I agree my aunt had to throw together a quicky wedding ceremony because her fiance was being deployed overseas after the whole 9/11 shindig...and she got a georgeous plain/simple/chic prom dress...infact I think it was one that she had worn to prom once before. ...Think pictures...looking back at hers, I wouldn't be able to tell it was a prom dress...and with the two months she had to plan it she has these great memorable snapshots (which is what you will remember and look back on later)...but if your comfy with pictures in your cute outfits, then I say do it.

Thats where I wasnt sure either, like I hate to spend all that money on a dress, but then at the same time Ive always wanted a dress. I think you guys got the right idea, Im going to find a dress and then have the processional go back into the house so we can change into our shirts or something :)

I don't remember all your plans as of now but I saw this and thought of you. You could probably get the flowers to make it way cheaper than it is on the website.

Okay, I am sorry in advance, this is going to seem evil! All of this lady and the tramp stuff, since they are animated, kinda remind me of a kids birthday party. Especially with the invitations with lady and the Tramp on them. I understand you are having a wedding on a budget, as am I, but I think yours may be a little too informal. I am really sorry. I know that sounded evil, I just didnt know of a better way to state it. If you need any advice on a budget wedding, let me know!!!
