Has anyone been to a bridal gown trunk show? Are they worth going to? Are gowns more expensive? What should I expect at a trunk show?

I have only been to two trunk shows and they weren't that special. You will get 10 to 15 percent off of that designer and depending on the shop, they will have some other promotion going on. One place I went would put your name in a drawing for $500 to spend in their store if you bought your dress that day. Trunk shows will also release a special dress that weekend.

Hope that helps.

Trunk shows usually have more styles from the designer than what the store normally has for samples. If you are interested in a particular designer and can't seem to find a style you're interested in within the shops in your area, then it might be worth going to see if the have a style you think you might be interested in. It may be your only chance to try the dress on in person. That was probably one of the biggest problems I had... I saw dresses I liked in on designer's websites all the time, but there was never that style at any of my local bridal shops. I really had a problem with ordering a dress without ever trying it on. You know, since all sales are final and I had no idea how the dress would really look on me.
