Firefighter getting married--dress with flames?

My fiance & I are both firefighters and I'd love to incorporate a flame-detail into my dress. Something along the lines of using crystals to form flames coming up from the bottom and down from the top of a strapless gown...

Anyone ever see anything like this or can give me an idea on how much it costs to have a gown made like this??

That sounds like a great idea, very unique. Maybe you can get a halloween dress with flames and use that as a pattern to make flames on your dress. You could even use different color crystals. One strand could be a soft orange and another could be maybe a yellow. OMG i'm so excited for you. Keep us posted on how the dress comes along. I hope it all works out, it sounds like such a cool concept.

You guys are great!! I like the cake & garter. I will probably do a dress with different crystals (yellow, orange, pink, etc.) for the flames...I just have to find someone to make it. Our wedding colors are ice blue & black, so I might try a fire & ice theme...I'll keep y'all posted! :-) Thanks for your help & congratulations to you all, too!

How fun. I am also doing a firefighter wedding. My FH and I are both Firefighters, he is career, and I am voluteer. I love your ideas. This is the dress that I have chosen. It isn't exactly like "flames" but it goes with my colors. I am using red, gold, and ivory. I would love to talk about other ideas you have, I have come up with all sorts of unique ideas to incorporate the Fire Department into my wedding. If you wanna chat, let me know, it is rare to find someone using this theme, and I would love to share ideas.

OMG...that's hilarious! Too funny! I'm wanting more of a fire theme than my FH is...he wants somewhat traditional, which is nice, too. This is actually my 2nd wedding--my first was more of my ex's "thing"...he's a musician and we were married in Vegas by Elvis. Cute idea, but when I wanted a traditional wedding, it left me wanting more, ya know? So this time, my sweetie & I are going to do it the way we both want it.
