My FH and I don't really like cake (or the like), but we don't know what else to do. We figure our guests will expect some sort of a dessert and the traditional cake cutting (we will have at least a small cake for that), but we wuold like some other suggestions.

Thanks!

How about a chocolate Fondue fountain?

You might not like cake, but I am sure most of your guests do. Maybe get a cake for the guests and have something else that you and your FH like for yourselves?

have you thought of having wedding pies or a variety of cookies.

We are doing pie.....we are checking out places soon...we have already looked at some places on the internet. We are also doing a fall wedding next year, so, we have just over a year to find someone....for the price of a really good pie, we are looking around $25.00 That will go 8 ways, or 6 for a generous serving...so, that will come out to $3-$4 per person...still cheaper than most wedding cakes....but, we are already getting a HUGE deal on catering....like $18 a person...that includes, beverages, appetizers, the FULL meal...chicken/ribs, baked potatoe, slaw, roll, beans.....so, I am happy to spend a little more on REALLY delicious pies that are worth it.

Check around though for other ideas....don't feel that you HAVE to do one tradition or another....we aren't.

Enjoy...good luck!!
