Hi ladies. I have over a year till I get married, buy my fiance and I are trying to think of some songs. I need songs for when the bridal party walks down the aisle, and more importantly, when I do. I defintely don't want traditional, but I want a song that isn't bold, if you know what I mean. I thought about Only Time by Enya, but my best friend used it, and I don't like the idea of "stealing her song". I also need a recessional song. HELP!!

my FH are walking down to "caribbean blue" by Enya. It is a gorgeous song. You should listen to it, I get goosebumps when I listen to it and think about myself and my bridal party walking down!!

I'm not sure what song I will walk to but I'm thinking of somewhere over the rainbow for the bridal party. for me the song I pick to walk down to will be something that strongly makes me think of us and our love, he will not know what the song will be, I want it to be a surprise.

Just thinking about some of the songs everyone is using makes me tear up. I know I am going to be a sobbing mess during my wedding. I listen to the Enya song and I just CRY already just thinking about it! hahaha

I am planning on using Blessed the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts as I walk down the isle. I am not sure what to use for my bridesmaids. I want a song that will tell them how I feel about them.

I love that song,
I think our first dance together will be Little big town "Bring it on home to me" we are total country fans well me just a few months ago, but the song is great. :)

I think I have finally decided on I do by Paul Brandt. I still don't know about the other songs. I never knew how frustrating planning a wedding could be!

My brother got me listening to Rascal Flatts, when I last saw them and I have been obsessed for the lsat 2 months. Blessed the Broken Road is the best song ever and it fits Robert's and my beginning perfectly I think.

That is the most important thing, finding a song that fits you so well. I was never a huge country fan, but after meeting my FH I have loved it and there are a few songs that we just love and fit us well that we are going to incorporate into our wedding, can't wait!

just be sure to expect some confusion for when the guests don't hear the traditional song for you to walk down the aisle. I don't know if there is something you can do to let the guests know you are walking down to something else. Sometimes the guests don't know when to stand and they get stuck in that stand up/sit down shuffle. Good luck on finding a song!

Well, I am truly one of those I don't give a crap kind of people, so I will get the DJ to tell them to stand! My Fh and I have huge families ( I have 6 siblings and he has 5) so we have a whole list of songs that our family has used in their weddings, that I am just not comfortable with re-using. That is making this all might difficult!

Yeah, I am the same way...but I did come up with a sort of solution for mine. I am having a friend sing during the seating. Once she sits down the recorded music will start and the wedding party will begin, once they are done my song will que so I hope that everyone gets that...I am also putting the wedding song in the program.

Yeah I am going to put it in the program also. I am going to see if I can merge the 2 songs in the beginning so people will get the picture. I want to see if I can start with the wedding march and then go into God Bless the Broken Road.

At my friends wedding she had one person who knew what song she would walk to and as soon as it start she stood up, everyone followed her lead.

Oh thats a good idea, just do a cue of some sorts, that is what I was worried about people. Most people will be standing anyway because it is outdoors and in a gazebo.. So I guess it dosen't really matter about people standing.. but great suggestion. :)

I actually think I have figured it out. I think I am going to use Have you ever been in love by Celine Dion for my wedding party. And the dj said he will do a little announcement telling everyone to stand. Yayyyy!

I'm getting married in a church so my bridal song will be traditional. My aunt is going to be my organist and she means a lot to me. I'm letting her chose the songs for my bridal party. Listen to Luther Vandross cd's he has great love songs.
