Anyone have any suggestions in regards to edible orchids on the tiers of the cake? I know they're quite pretty (the restaurant I work at use them as a garnish for everything), but does anyone know if they would leave a weird flowery aftertaste to the cake? If so, any other suggestions for non-toxic flowers that could go on a cake?

I'm having this cake made: http://www.jacquespastries.com/wed14.htm
Granted the flowers are fake, but if you're too afraid to go with a real edible flower, I think the cake looks gorgeous even without the real thing on it :)

I personally didn't want fake edible flowers. His mom is bringing in the flowers and we are going to decorate the cake with real flowers. I had heard that the fake edibles were not that great tasting. . . the ones I tasted really weren't that wonderful, and i didn't want to take a chance. So we just went real.
