Okay here is my dilemma. I have been searching for a dress for awhile now and its like every week I have a new favorite. I just haven't found one that I am stuck on. So I have realized that I need color. My favorite color is pink my FH hates the color he wants burgundy and silver to be our colors. But I truly feel that I need to incorporate it somehow in my day. My family is very traditional so I am thinking that I am going to just get a pink dress and let them find out on MY wedding day. Okay but the dress I like doesn't really go with burgundy and silver. I know the champagne color will. So any advice on either how to handle the dress color properly or any color schemes let me know. Puhlease thanks yall.

Why don't you buy a white dress that has pink beading. I saw one somewhere I will see if I can find it again.

Let me clear it up a bit not only is pick my fave color but white dresses just don't pop out as much to me. I truly want all the attention on me. I have a very off personality I like to do things differently. Anyway I am having my dress made so here is the two styles I am puting together.

I think the pink would be ok. That dress should look very pretty when its done. I would use burgundy and silver as your main colors, but add a little pink just so that it brings the dress in a little bit.

Why wouldn't pink go with burgandy? Have your bridesmaids wear burgandy dresses and carry pink flowers. Their dresses can have silver accents of some sort. If your dress is pink, then it would match the flowers as well.
In my wedding, the colors were pink and chocolate brown. All of the flowers were pink. Well... the reception location we chose had hunter green carpet and burgandy chairs. We decided the best thing to do was to incorporate the wedding colors by having pink flowers at the reception. We just ignored the chocolate brown because it wouldn't match with the hunter green and burgandy. We got burgandy table clothes to match the room's decor and we had pink flowers in out centerpieces. It looked great together! Pink and burgandy are definately doable. :)

So you think burgundy and silver would still be okay with a pink dress. I have been losing sleep having bad dreams about the colors.lol. Its ridiculous I can't even have a peaceful dream.

So does the MOH wear a silver dress or should she wear a burgandy dress just different style. I am trying to picture it. These are the dresses my bridesmaids like.

I was planning on having my bridesmaids wear tea length dresses and trying to find a similar styled dress in the same color but floor length. It's all up to you. I have seen them in different colors or styles.

My colors are burgundy/wine. I am having pink and green accents, it looks great together. In fact my gown has silver threading in it, my florist is taking these colors and putting burgundy, pink and silver throughout all of my arrangements. My Mom is wearing a pink dress, and my bridesmaids are all wearing wine color. I think/know that you will be just fine. Light pink with the burgundy will look very nice. Good Luck with your planning :)

You commented earlier about having your bridesmaids in white. You could have them wear something like this but instead of the black have burgundy or silver.

Honestly? I think it would look great. I would keep all of your bridesmaid dresses burgandy. You don't really need a different style/color for the MOH. I've heard of a lot of people just having her carry a larger bouquet.
Oh, BTW, pink and gray look great together too. So if you did silver dresses I think it would look good too.

Your whole group is going to look amazing. I love the fact you are choosing a totally non traditional colour for your dress.

Well we finally ***e up with a date so we are for sure doing Sept. 22 of 2007. The theme is going to be like a romance theme. I tried on the capri royale yesterday I absolutly love it so that dress is a go I tried it in ivory. Hmm FH freaked out when I said I wanted to wear pink so we are negotiating that to a certain extent. So I know the dress just don't know the color of it. Our final decison on colors is claret and champagne to go with the theme. Everything is centered around the colors of this rose bouquet that I saw when I get a chance to upload you would be able to see the vision.
These are the bridesmaids dresses.

Get the champagne dress and add a pink sash. You might even be able to find a mauve-y sash embroidered in burgundy. Good luck!!!
