Hi Everyone,
I am new to this site and just love it. It is full of great ideas and tips. Everyone is soooo helpful. I am "typing in" because I found this beautiful dress by Priscilla of Boston (#2902). I am in love with it & can not find anything that I like better, for me. The only problem is the price tag is out of by budget. I too, have considered cutting things in other parts of the wedding, but still can not justify the heavy price tag. What to do?
I have attached a link to the "Dress of My Dreams", if anyone knows of something similar, where i can get it cheaper, a knock off, or anything help would be appreciated.

Thank you soooo much,

Hey, Symphony bridals makes a dress just like that one. I remember seeing it at a bridal salon and thinking it looked exactly like that Priscilla dress. Here's a picture of it:

It's style S1627. It's in the spring 2006 collection, volume 1. Here's the website:

I can't remember exactly how much it was... but it was cheap. It was less than $500 for sure.
They have this symphony gown that Cashy posted on ebay for around $500 with shipping. http://cgi.ebay.com/GORGEOUS-ADVERTISED-CHIC-BRIDAL-2006-WEDDING-GOWN-DRESS_W0QQitemZ8276400076QQcategoryZ63851QQcmdZVie wItem

I'm having the same situation with an "Eve of Milady" dress... the price tag is 4000, but since it's a previous year's style the woman offered me a 35% discount on the store sample (which fit almost perfectly)... it's totally worth asking. Unfortunately, it's still more than I want to pay, but at the same time, I've been considering a "copy" and from what I've looked at, the quality isn't the same. I live in Boston, too (the wedding is in CT), and part of me says just suck it up and buy the dream dress and budget carefully in other areas. (I'm normally VERY frugal)...
ALSO... if you want a top quality dress, have you checked out VOWS in Newton? They have a Vera Wang that I *almost* bought for $1500!!! They even had a Kenneth Pool in satin for $600... If you're into the brand like Vera and Amsale and Reem Acra, it may be your solution. They're online at www.bridepower.com too. But their website isn't really up to date. Hope this helps a bit! Keep looking... you might find a salon with a store sample or something, too. GOOD LUCK! :)

It feels better to know there's another bride in Boston getting married in CT!
I'm a little nervous to know I wouldn't be able to go check on vendors o the place anytime I want! Are you having a wed.planner? im not sure if I should because that$ can go towards my priscilla...
Thanks for the info I have lookt at bride power and Im glad the web site is not updated because Im not to sure about the dresses, Im totally in love w/that priscilla , Im even thinking to see how much would it cost to have someone do it for me...
keep int touch and let me know if you need some help with your planning!

It is a beautiful dress... have you picked a reception hall yet? St. Clemen's is supposed to be gorgeous, but it's a bit too far from where everyone lives. We're doing it in Southington/Plainville. Nope, my mom and aunt are planners enough for everyone. I'm going back to CT tomorrow to check on "my dress" and perhaps splurge... good luck with everything!
