hi guys, i'm having some concerns about buying my dress online. through the forum and the replies that people have posted, i discovered houseofbrides.com, an online shop where the gowns and prices are pretty good for budget-conscious brides. i found several gowns that i absolutely adore and i've decided to buy my dress from here. however, when i told my sister, she said how she was skeptical about buying something like that online. even my fiance said that he wouldn't trust it because i wouldn't be able to see the gown and it could turn out to be of low quality material. these responses have now raised doubts in my mind, so i want to ask any of you who have bought your dresses online, which i know some of you have. how did the dresses come out? did they look like the picture of it that you saw online? did it look of low quality or was it all that it was made out to be? please help because i saw a dress on houseofbrides.com that i really loved and the price was reasonable to me (in the 300s) and i really want to buy it, but i don't want to be disappointed when it comes.
also i would like to know, if you bought the dress online, what did you do about all the fittings and stuff that you would normally have to do if you went to an actual store to get the dress? did you have to do much alterations? please help!!! i'm confused!!!
