I know a lot of you have posted songs to use for father/daughter dance, but I don't know what to do because my father and I were estranged for a couple of years and are now just starting to work it out. I want a song that won't be too mushy or emotional because I've had a troubled relationship with him for many years because of his wife. Please help me with any ideas you may have. Thanks!!

Hey, you might want to listen to the song "Crazy" by Patsy Cline. I think you might like it. If I think of any more, I will let you know.

Hey there! I don't know if this might help you but when I was a little girl my dad and I were never very close. However, one of the most happy memories I have shared with my dad was listening to the oldies station. My brother and I would sit in the back seat and merrily sing along with my dad. So maybe if you could think of a happy time with your dad and maybe something you've shared in common, (a style of music for example), I'm certain the perfect song is bound to turn up! Congratulations and God bless!

P.S. I'm using "Do Wah Diddy" by Manfred Man.

I am happy someone said something...I am in the same situation with my father, and I have started thinking about songs for us to dance to. Unfortunately, the only song I can think of that reminds me of him is by Simple Plan, I think it is called Perfect. It is not the best song to play at a wedding!!! If you do find something that fits, please let me know!!! I will do the same for you.

I am hoping to dance to "Brown Eyed girl" My dad and I do not talk all that much, but when I was younger he would always sing that to me. I have brown eyes.. Imagine that right?

I think I'm going to use the Green day song Good Riddance(time of your life) It's short and not to mushy. Thanks for all the input girls!
