i am having a grooms cake for a few reasons one the cake is to reflect the groom it can be any shape or design i just have to keep telling my FH no cause he wants something to embaress his mother but anyway some people may not like the wedding cake its self the taste i know some people who cant eat the butter cream icing that is on most wedding cakes plus if more people show up than expected that cake may come in handy for the extra guest and trust me i have been to enough weddings to knwo that even if there is too much cake people love to take it home do you plan on saving the top layer for your one year anniversery?? (the wedding cakes top layer)

The groom's cake is a southern tradition and it is supposed reflect the hobbies of the groom. It's usually served at the rehersal dinner, but can be served at the reception as an extra dessert. I think it's usually chocolate, but you can do pretty much what ever you want with it.
