Who pays?

Who pays for my bridesmaids when they get their hair and nails done for the wedding? What is appropriate?

If you ask them to have it done, you need to pay. If they choose to have it done, they will pay. The easiest way to do this is to say that you're making your hair appointment and for them to let you know by x date if they would like you to make them an appointment as well - it will be $x. That way it leaves the decision totally up to them.

I did that myself, my wedding is coming up and i told my bridesmaids i'm getting hair and makeup done and if they want theirs done it's xx amount for each, but as a middle ground i told them if they wanted to get their's done i would go ahead and pay for the stylist to come to us and they'd just have their hair/makeup cost. i would have gone ahead and had them come to me anyway probably but it worked out well cause the girls all agreed and felt like they were getting a deal.

lol not in my family apparently. I've been a bridesmaid in 2 weddings, each time I was basically told, not asked, that we were all getting our hair and nails done at a certain place at a certain time and to be there and we all had to pay for it ourselves. It's like the dress... if you agree to be a bridesmaid, you're agreeing to pay for your whole outfit, including hair and nails.

I've only been in one wedding so far. I didn't get my nails or make-up done. I did get my hair done and I gladly paid for it.

I have an issue with my FSIL who will be a bridesmaid, along with her daughter as a Jr. Bridesmaid and her other daughter as a Flower Girl.

This will cost alot but my FMIL has agreed to cover the cost of the FG!! :D
And my FSIL would have to be able to cover expenses for the dresses for herself and her other daughter.

They both wanted to be in it and my FH definitely wants them in it, so I have make sure that they can afford it...( This was a big issue with me and my FH last week!!) BUT the hair shouldn't be too bad cuz I am having a friend of mine come over and she agreed to do the Bridesmaids hair (if they want to have it done by her--they are going to have to get it done either way!!) and she would only charge like $10 or $15.

But I think that if they agree to be a Bridesmaid than they should cover those expenses!
