I was just wondering how many songs should be in the wedding? I didnt know if everyone played something different for different ppl in the wedding party..Or just the the traditional wedding march..our song and the song walking out of the church. How many are you having?

I haven't gotten to that part yet, so I haven't given it much thought.
I would think you would need something to entertain the guest as they are being seated. At least 2-3 selections.
A song for the wedding party to march down on
A song for the bride to come down on and
something for the recessional.
So what is that - 5-6 songs. Only guessing.

We had prelude music, a processional song for the groomsmen & bridesmaids to process, my processional. Then we had the ceremony. Between the readings, we had another song. Then we had the recessional (one song). At our reception, we only had our first dance song.

Well you need about 15 minutes of prelude music... which is about 4 songs or so. Then you need 2 processional songs (one for the bridal party and one for you). Some people just choose to have music play throughout the ceremony... which would add up to a few songs. Many people choose a song for their unity candle ceremony (or equivalent ceremony). Then you'll need 2 recessional songs. And you'll also need postlude music, which can be a few songs as well.

i did 30 min of pre ceremony, one song for seating of family, one song for bm and gm, then wedding march, the the leaving wedding march, and i did the bm/gm again for eveyone leaving, so there would be plenty of time to get everyone down the stairs.(i used all tradiotional music Canon In D Major/Trumpets/ Alot of Bach music)

FOB & B Dance (brown eyed girl)
MOG & G Dance (the last dance)
Then we did all the BM & Gm w/ B & FOG F& MOB dance (wonderful world)
