How many of you have talked with your partner about how you will handle feeding cake to each other?

I already told mine that under no circumstance is he to even think about shoving cake in my face. If he does, that will be our first fight of our marriage.

Just curious.

I think this is a tradition that should be thrown out the window myself. But it just depends on what they are both comfortable with.

I just hate watching those wedding shows where the groom smashes the cake in the brides face or vice versa. I don't think that is fun. Just my thoughts.

I will kill him if he does smash it in my face. One because i told him there is no way we are doing that & two because the cake has blue icing light and dark and if it stains my dress i will be leaving for the honeymoon short a husband.

Oooo Dan keeps threatening to smash the cake in my face he better not! I'm sorry I am not going to pay to get my makeup done just to wash it all off cuz it's covered in sugar! Now ME smashing the cake in HIS face is quite a different story..... :p

Why would you want someone to smash food in your face after spending so much on your gown, hair and makeup. Doesn't make sense to me.

I so agree, I think cake smashing is a tradition that clearly a man started! I do not find it funny, and what is the point? Blah...hahhaha, but I agree with you!!

We will NOT be doing it. Both of us agree that it looks trashy. I mean you are all dressed up looking beautiful and handsome, and then you wreck it by smashing cake in the others face! I'm sorry but we don't agree with it! I would be VERY angry if Cody did it to me!

no smashing plans going on here! we think it's a little disrespectful to each other to start off like that! but on the flip side, it's always something to be curious about at weddings we attend...and can be pretty funny if the couple is comfortable with it! :)

We don't need to discuss it, because smashing cake isn't even an option! We know each other too well for that!

We are not going to smash the cake in eachother face. its outplayed and its just nicer to be able to feed it and not wear it. Plus the dress, hair, makeup is not cheap and he has to return the tux so its safer to keep it clean.

I think its just a lack of respect for each other if you choose to do that. It's degrading and makes no sense. I was actually at a family wedding where this happened  and it was horrible, people slipping on the floor from the cream, the bride was a mess for pictures. :( All around it was in bad taste.
