DJ outdoor setting?

Hi all! I am way ahead of the game, but am planning a wedding that is going to be a couple of years down the road. Anyway, we really want to have an outdoor wedding (think tent or gazebo). The budget is going to be really small, about $2000-$3000, if that. So my question is, could a DJ arrange to play his/her music in an outdoor setting for the wedding march? How does that work?? Thanks for any ideas, I am so new to this! :)

My DJ is playing outside for our ceremony. He has a small setup he will use outside, and while we are taking pictures, he'll take that down, and use his larger setup inside for the dance and dinner music. He has a cover that he puts over everything outside so it doesn't look too obtrusive! We just have to pay like $20 extra at the ceremony site for electricity.
