My fiance and I are getting married in Las Vegas at Treasure Island (pirate wedding on the pirate ship). His family and friends are from New Jersey, and mine are from California. We are both living in California right now.
My question is, would it make more sense to get my vendors near my destination or near my home? How many of them would be able to ship their stuff and have the hotel staff set it up? I imagine a bakery could pretty much ship a cake, but I imagine it would be harder for floral or decorations. But, Vegas is no small journey, and I wouldn't be able to have physical contact or track progress in person if we went with a vendor close to Vegas.
My dilemma is to find one close to home so I can really figure out what I want, or Vegas, so that it's easy to be set up. I guess it might make the most sense to do most of my selecting and design work out here, then transfer it over to another place in Vegas? Anyone dealt with this kind of issue before?
